Sing Out! Magazine

Since 1950, Sing Out! has been sharing songs and information about traditional and contemporary folk music from all over the world. We define folk music broadly, covering everything from Americana to ballads to world music, blues, bluegrass, political songs and everything in between.



Sing Out! Is printed quarterly. Each issue includes 20 songs, articles, reviews, event listings, and more. Sing Out! also maintains a folk music "resource center" available to its members, as well as Legacy Books, a resource for hard-to-find folk music books, including our own Rise Up Singing



Additionally, this fall we will have the syndicated “Sing Out! Radio Magazine”, hosted by Matt Watroba.



We are looking for traditional and contemporary folk music from all over the world, including Blues, Bluegrass, Old-time Country, Contemporary Singer/Songwriters, World Music, Ballads, Cajun, Klezmer, Celtic and anything else loosely under the roots and folk umbrella.



By submitting your EPK, the editorial staff at Sing Out! will determine where you best fit in. For example, it could be an album review, a featured song, a feature, etc.



Please note: If you are selected, you will need to mail in hard copy CDs since our reviewers will need to hear your full album or demo.
