The deadline is approaching to submit to Live & Local, a program designed to help up-and-coming bands receive exposure by performing at Six Flags Great Adventure. They are seeking a wide variety of bands to perform at concerts held every Friday and Saturday night of the 2010 season. 7,000+ people visit the park each day./n/nAcross the country, Six Flags hosts the Live & Local music series. Live & Local gives musicians a chance to be heard by thousands of potential fans. Six Flags Great Adventure created and actively participates in this exciting series.

Whether you are a single artist with a guitar, a new band just trying to get heard, or a cover band that likes to sing the great songs of our generation, Six Flags may have a spot for you. This is an artist's chance to expand their fanbase.

Music of all genres is accepted. Six Flags will choose those artists which reflect diverse and family friendly material.

Please note: Adult language is not permitted and will not be tolerated. Performances run from Memorial Day - Labor Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Some special event dates may be offered as well. Two bands usually play per day.

They can be flexible if needed. This is an unpaid performance, but merchandise sales are allowed. Artists shall retain 100% of their profits. Items must be family friendly, and in good taste. Six Flags retains the right to review and approve/disapprove of any merchandise.

Six Flags Great Adventure will provide an adequate stage and a PA system. The park does offer drums, and in certain circumstances, artists will be required to use them. Stage hands will not be provided. ItÂ’s suggested that you bring a push cart, as you cannot pull your car into the park or to the stage due to safety concerns. The band and staff will be escorted into the park free of charge.

There are discounted tickets available to enjoy the park before or after the show. Artists should inquire with a live and local coordinator after selected.
