Summary

Smith College is now booking for their Fall Semester (September through December, 2007)

The Smith College Campus Center Activities Board is currently seeking musicians and other performing artists for a variety of events to be held throughout the 2006-2007 school year. We are seeking comedians, spoken word artists, and musical talent from all genres to perform for our students. We are very flexible and open.

On the larger end of the spectrum we will host bands at our Campus Center, and in the John M. Greene auditorium. Whether on the lawn outside the Campus Center, indoors, or at the Green auditorium, these events are a great opportunity for up and coming musical talent. We typically host 5 bands a semester and attendance for these events will range from 500-1,200.

In the middle of the road, we host the Campus Center Comedy Club and Spoken Word series. Both events are held in the Campus Center and average around 200 in attendance. Only in its second year, the Spoken Word series has already hosted such names as Mayada del Valle, Alix Olsen, and Dufflyn Lammers.

For a smaller and more intimate setting, we are looking for artists to perform at our popular bi-monthly event: Jittery’s Coffeehouse. With some of Smith’s more music savvy students in attendance, we are looking for the best quality, creative music talent to perform. This event is held in a two story lounge within our Campus Center, with a core group of 45-75 students in attendance. Both local and touring acts are welcome to submit.

All artists participating in our events will be compensated. Compensation will be negotiated on a per artist and event basis.
