Summary

Smith College, one of the most premier women’s colleges in the nation, is currently looking for acts to support their series programming as well as their Major Weekend programming. Local, regional, and national acts are all encouraged to submit. The Smith Student Event Committee (SEC) books around 15-20 artists per semester. They provide compensation and lodging plus one meal for performers./n/nSmith College is the premier women’s college in the country. Located in Northampton, MA, Smith is a vibrant campus which supports a strong music and arts scene. The Student Event Committee is looking for acts to support their series programming as well as their Major Weekend programming. They provide compensation and lodging plus one meal for performers.



Smith College books the following venues:


  • An outdoor venue which holds 1000 people

  • The Carroll Room which seats 250

  • The TV Lounge which seats 65

  • Davis Ballroom which seats 300

  • John M Greene Hall which seats 2000


Their series programming includes:


  • Jittery's Live: A coffeehouse series which takes place in the TV Lounge

  • Campus Center Comedy: This series is held in the Carroll Room

  • Spoken Word: This series brings the best slam poets from across the country

  • Concerts which happen in Davis Ballroom, the Carroll Room, outdoors and John M. Greene Hall

  • Smith College also books acts for their Welcome Back Week, Winter Weekend and Family Weekend. These acts range from bands to comedians to magicians
