Summary

Perform at the festival being called: "The Pennsylvania Wild's Premier Bluegrass Festival!" Smoked Country Jam Bluegrass Festival is the "peaceful, easy feeling" festival experience that resonates on more than 85 acres of mountaintop beauty in the Pennsylvania Appalachians.

Located at Karstetter Farm in Loganton, PA, this annual 3-day event benefits The Lupus Foundation of PA. The festival features 16 - 18 performers playing live bluegrass music, day and night, in front of over 3000 festival attendees.

The festival showcases a variety of bluegrass styles, from traditional and progressive, to gospel and old timey. Many talented local, regional and national performers have stepped up to the mic during the first six years of Smoked Country Jam. Past performers have included IIIrd Tyme Out, Honey Deaton & Dream, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, The Gibsons, Larry Keel & Natural Bridge, Buncombe Turnpike, Hit & Run Bluegrass, Two High String Band, The Doerfels, and many more.

This submission is in consideration for the 2010 festival. Artists who submit may also be considered for the 2009 festival if last minute slots open up.

The 7th annual Smoked Country Jam, which will be held in June 17-19, 2010, will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages, in addition to a variety of food, merchandise, bluegrass workshops, and children's activities. Additionally, we have added The PA Heritage Songwriting Contest, The Danny Stewart Jam Tent, and a Showcase Performer Stage.

Selected artists will be compensated for their performances, with travel/lodging expenses being very limited, and considered on an individual basis.

Numerous area businesses sponsor the festival, with corporate sponsors including Haven Homes, The Clinton County Tourist Promotion Agency, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and Sonicbids.

Please Note: This is an acoustic music festival. There will be no electric instruments and no drum sets in any performance.
