Smoke E. Digglera's Battle of the Bands begins January 13th, every second Thursday of the month at JazzyBlu in Louisville, KY at 8pm. There are four slots reserved for Sonicbids artists./n/nSmoke E. This is an excellent opportunity for up and coming independent bands to showcase their talent. Each band gets 30 minutes to showcase their talent.
Bands will be judged on stage presence/showmanship, vocals, choice of song/originality, band image/style (clothes that the bands are wearing), sound, band members' skill level, crowd response and fan support/following.
Via judges score, the winning band will receive their own night to perform, in addition to bragging rights, on the fourth Monday of that month. On the fourth Monday, the winning band will be compensated 15% of the door, one night stay in a hotel room, if originating from more than 50 miles away from Louisville, KY and the opportunity to sell their own merchandise.
This series has a mature atmosphere complete with great music and great food. Genres accepted include: Rock, Punk, Alternative, Goth, Country, Metal, Funk, Americana and Pop.
