Summary

Looking for Indie artists - Win an Artist Development Package; Perform in front of industry Reps. Win a show in the UCSB college market; get some great info on Do It Yourself artist techniques; and much much more...

The goal of the Southern California Indie Artist Showcase on Saturday July 29 is to expose independent bands and artists in all genres to representatives from music industry companies that are currently seeking talent. We have hand-selected a panel of key industry professionals based specifically on their role in the industry. This event is designed to cover a broad range of aspects essential to becoming successful in today’s music business. From recording opportunities to publishing and licensing deals, local to international bookings to distribution and sales, this is an event by independent artists for independent artists. The event is organized by San Diego band Innocent Noise who is bringing some industry hookups back to their hometown. The event will be held at The Boulevard in San Marcos, CA.

If you are selected, you will be required to purchase 50 tickets for $300 that must be sold to their fans. Artists will retain ALL money from tickets sold over 30 [that’s $200 for the artist]. However, failure to bring 30 people though the door will result in a small point deduction on a sliding scale [details in contract]. Artists will be allowed to sell more than 50 if they can.

Each performance will be limited to the band’s 3 best songs. Set times and load-in schedules will be disclosed two weeks before the event. Up to 10 bands/artists will perform the evening of the event with at least four of the slots reserved for Sonicbids artists.
