For the 5th year running, SongCircle presents its annual songwriting contest. Started as an expansion of the New York Songwriter's Circle, SongCircle caters to songwriters across the world and builds on the success of an organization that has been producing, developing and showcasing multi-platinum and Grammy-award winning artists including Norah Jones, Gavin DeGraw, Vanessa Carlton, Lis Loeb, and more for over 20 years.



Grand Prize Winner receives $10,000 cash, a joint venture agreement with SongCircle Music/EMI, Gibson Songwriter Deluxe Guitar, a recording session and much more./n/nFor the 5th year running, SongCircle presents its annual songwriting contest.   • Performance on NYC's Q104.3 Out of the Box show with DJ Jonathan Clarke

  • 10 hour recording session at Morning Star Studios with Grammy-winning producer Glenn Barrett.

  • $3,000 cash

  • Martin LX guitar

  • Performance at a SongCircle showcase of the winner's choice


3rd place prizes:


  • $1,500 cash

  • Performance at a SongCircle showcase of the winner's choice


International Winner prizes:

Young Person Award:


  • $1,000 cash

  • Demo recording session with hit producer Steve Greenwell

  • Rock camp sessions at the Gowanus Music Club in Brooklyn, NY
