Summary

The 4th Annual GINA/LAWIM Singer/Songwriter Contest to Aid the Missing is presented by G.I.N.A. for Missing Persons, a 501(c) (3), 509(a) (1) nonprofit with the National Heritage Foundation and is inspired by the disappearance of Singer/Songwriter Gina Bos.



After reviewing all entries, 10 finalists will be selected to perform at the contest finals in the Los Angeles area on May 19 during National Missing Children's month. All of the finalists' songs will be released on the GINA for Missing Persons Annual giveaway CD/DVD. Each artist will also be eligible to win the following:



FIRST PLACE PRIZES:

  • 10 Song CD Recording produced by Castle records. ($35,000 value)

  • 1,000 CDs duplicated (Packaging & Barcode) from Disc Replicators

    All contest entrants will receive 10% off CD duplication of 1,000 or more

    from Disc Replicators.



    More than a chance to get your music exposed and win valuable prizes, submitting to this competition is a meaningful donation and gift of love to help the missing and their families to gain the attention they deserve. One missing person featured on each of the recent compilation CD projects has been found. GINA for Missing Persons' Squeaky Wheel Tour(tm) held over 250 international events this year and over 80 missing people profiled by GINA have been found! The monies from the entry fees are used to continue the efforts of GINA Internationally.



    Please note: Songs submitted do NOT have to be about missing people. Travel expenses incurred by artists selected for the finals in the Los Angeles area WILL NOT be covered by "GINA for Missing Persons" or LAWIM. Songs MUST be performed by the artist on the winning TOP TEN entry.

  • Terms And Conditions

    Complete guidelines: The winning singer/songwriter will receive a 10-song
    CD recording produced by Castle Records. Submit your best song in any
    category or style, on CD or cassette, along with a lyric sheet (it doesn't
    have to be about missing or lost people, but keep it clean).
    ALL Submissions must be in no later than April 25, 2007.
    The top 10 finalists will be featured in
    the GINA/LAWIM Singer/Songwriter Contest for the Missing LIVE WEBCAST (NOTE
    CHANGE OF DATE!) on Saturday, May 19, 2007.

    Entries in before APRIL 1, 2007 - $29, additional entries $25

    Entries in after APRIL 1, 2007 - $35, additional entries $30

    Entries must be performed by the singer/songwriter on the submitted entry
    recording - no substitutions and you must be available to perform live in
    the finals, held in the Los Angeles area. (You are responsible for your own
    travel arrangements.)

    Industry professionals will judge the lyrical, melodic and vocal
    presentation of your song.
