GINA/LAWIM Singer/Songwriter Contest for the Missing

GINA/LAWIM Singer/Songwriter Contest for the Missing is an annual benefit concert where a large portion of the proceeds goes to GINA for Missing Persons, a 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to providing media attention, awareness, assistance, and resources for families, friends, and communities of the missing.

In its third year, this year's GINA/LAWIM Singer/Songwriter Contest for the Missing will be held at Kulak's Woodshed, a small venue in the heart of North Hollywood that is renowned for its Internet webcast events & independent artist support. We will be looking for the top 10 finalists to perform on May 20th. Finalists will be judged and first, second, and third place winners will be chosen following the performances on May 20th. Selected singer/songwriters will be listed on all donation packages, as well as featured on the annual giveaway CD that highlights and helps to locate missing people.

1ST PLACE WINNER WILL RECEIVE: A Demo Recording of one (1) of Your songs, 1,000 CDs duplicated (including packaging and barcode) courtesy of Disc Replicators International, DVD of Your Performance, Spotlight on LAWIM Website, One Year Membership with the following (CD Baby, Go Girls Elite, Gig Page, LA WoMen in Music, Film Music Network, & Sonicbids- 6 Months), Consultations by Radio & Retail, Ontrak Entertainment-SongPlugger, Songwriting-Harriet Schock, One-Year Subscription to Music Connection Magazine, Harriet Schock "Becoming Remarkable" Book, Elisabeth Howard's "Born to Sing" Vocal Package, Indie Bible, a Shure SM57 microphone (from Jeannie Cunningham) and a $100 gift certificate to Sam Ash Music Store. 1st Place winner will also receive a Japanese Promotion & Radio Promotion package (by Music Forte).

2ND & 3RD PLACE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE: DVD of Your Performance, Spotlight on LAWIM Website, One-Year Membership with the following (CD Baby, Go Girls Elite, Gig Page, LA WoMen in Music, Film Music Network, & Sonicbids-6 Months), Consultation by Harriet Schock-Songwriting, Harriet Schock "Becoming Remarkable" Book, Indie Bible. 2nd place winner will receive a $75 gift certificate from Sam Ash Music Store. 3rd place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Same Ash Music Store. Second place winner will also receive Studio Time (Virlouise Studios in Orange County).

ALL 1ST- 10TH PLACE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE: Your winning songs placed on the CD giveaway profiling the faces and stories of missing children.

All Genres Accepted.

Any person that who enters the Songwriter Contest for the Missing will receive 10% off CD duplication of 1000 or more...from Disc Replicators International. To get the discount, just bring in your email confirmation of entry for the contest as proof.

Submit master CD quality songs. We will use the version you submit for the annual giveaway CD if you are selected as a Top 10 finalist.
