Summary

The deadline is approaching to submit to the 'Association of Artists for a Better World', a non-profit organization devoted to improving our planet through artistic expression which is now accepting submissions for its first 'Peace Songs for a Better World' compilation CD. They are looking for songs to make you smile and laugh. It can be quirky lyrics, funny sounds, sarcasm, unusual rhythms, and all of those things that cause people to stop what they are doing in their day and be happy! Ten selected artists will be featured on the CD, publication date fall of 2010, and given full liner credits including contact and Website information and more!/n/nAt least 10 selected artists will get world-wide exposure including distribution, publicity, promotion, and recognition.

They are looking for songs to make you smile and laugh. It can be quirky lyrics, funny sounds, sarcasm, unusual rhythms, and all of those things that cause people to stop what they are doing in their day and be happy!



The 'Association of Artists for a Better World', a non-profit organization devoted to improving our planet through artistic expression, is now accepting submissions for its first 'Songs To Laugh Your Ass Off' compilation CD.



Ten selected artists will be featured on the CD, publication date fall of 2010, and given full liner credits including contact and Website information plus the following:



  • 'Songs To Laugh Your Ass Off' will be distributed for airplay to over 200 radio stations in their 'global radio pipeline' located throughout North America, Europe, and Australia, including Internet stations. Review copies distributed to selected music publications and music journalists for review in their publications.



  • Artists will be listed on their website, press releases, and all related CD publicity and promotion as applicable.



  • Artists will be supplied with 10 CDs for their own sale and promotion.



  • E-Distribution and international sales will be through CDBaby, and cataloged in their international album database.



  • Artists are eligible to receive royalties for airplay (if their songs are registered with SOCAN or appropriate agency in their area).


Although there are no guarantees, it is reasonable to expect the CD to get airplay around the world, and reviewed in music publications and e-zines. It is also reasonable to expect you will get requests for your CD's from interested DJ’s, music directors, and music journalists who like your tune. It is customary for DJ's / stations to send playlists directly to artists. (See **About the Producer Below**)

This subtly engaging collection of songs gives new meaning to the term, “global warming”. Mainstream music listeners won’t find anything musically or politically offensive here and may even be encouraged to join the movement. That being said, it won’t appeal to listeners who prefer edgier instrumentation or to cynics who have developed a “full speed ahead for destruction” attitude towards the world in general.
