Summary
Songs With Vision, an LA-based music publishing company, is seeking cover versions of popular tracks. They submit songs for film, television and advertising projects. They are specifically interested in covers of Familiar Motown, Disco and 70s Rock tracks.
Ideally, songs will be unique, contemporary takes on classic songs from the referenced categories. For instance, an Indie Rock take on The Carpenters for a 70's California rock song, an acoustic version of a disco dance hit, or an alternative rock version on a Motown classic. Artists must own the master rights for their version of the song.
Songs With Vision offers a 50/50 split of the master license. Publishing rights are not necessary for licensing on this project. Tracks do not have to be on album, but do need to be broadcast quality. This is a top tier licensing gig for any artist artists with an innovative and creative cover song.
