Summary
Songwriter Sessions is a monthly music series dedicated to the craft of songwriting. 3 different local and regional songwriters will perform each month with the series' host, Lisa Martin.
The series takes place on the second Thursday of every month from 7-9 pm at The Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomfret, CT. ItÂ’s a great restaurant and bistro with live shows and featuring many national and regional touring artists.
The purpose of the series is to show how diverse the songwriting process is. Each month, participating songwriters are assigned a theme chosen by the previous month's audience, and are required to write a song based on that theme for the show. The newly crafted songs are presented in round 3 of the night.
All genres are accepted; however, as the series is acoustic in nature, interested parties must be able to perform in that manner and are limited to solo or duo configurations due to space constraints. Also a family environment, music containing profanity is not acceptable.
Selected artists are equally compensated for their performance based on draw.
