About Sonshine Festival
Sonshine Festival has been the premier Christian Music festival in the US for over 25 years. This yearÂ’s Sonshine Festival takes place on July 17, 18, and 19, 2008 in Willmar, MN. 20,000 people attend the festival each year.
Previous performers include Relient K, Third Day, Newsboys, Toby Mac, etc. Already confirmed for this year are Toby Mac, David Crowder Band, As I Lay Dying, Third Day, Flatfoot 56, Jeremy Camp and Superchick amongst others, with many more to still be announced.
All Christian genres are accepted but there is an emphasis on pop, hip-hop, punk, metal, and contemporary Christian. There are 75+ artists who perform across 4 stages, including an emerging artists stage.
Talent Search
Sonshine Festival's Talent Search is a unique competition in which artists submit their EPKs and have them reviewed by Sonshine Festival and the staff at Essential Records.
One artist will be selected to perform the winning song on the main stage at Sonshine Festival. That same artist will go on to perform in the national talent search competition in Nashville. The national winner will receive a developmental deal with Essential Records.
