During each retreat, a collective of 20-25 singers, producers, musicians, and writers are invited to the Soul Kitchen to work on their craft. You will be joined by Vinx, the Soul Kitchen staff of producers, and industry notables. Exercises occur in large and small groups and our special industry guests are personally involved in each workshop. The weekend thrives on a relaxed yet structured setting where you will write, cook, eat, drink, create, chill, record, sing and play as a collective. Interspersed among the writing workshops are sessions devoted to the business aspects of performing and songwriting that include guest speakers from legal, publishing and management fields.

So…what happens when artists submit?

A panel of Songwriter Soul Kitchen producers, including Vinx himself, will review each and every submission. Once the panel has chosen the scholarship recipient, they will respond personally to all applicants. If an artist is not selected for this retreat, the Songwriter Soul Kitchen is offering a $100 discount toward the cost of any of their upcoming retreats.
