Summary

Soul of the City 2011 in Grand Rapids, MI is a two day festival, September 2nd and 3rd. The festival is looking for adult contemporary, comedy, cover band, funk, gospel, hip hop, jam band, jazz, pop, soul, spoken word, or urban/r&b artists to perform and 1-2 acts to headline. Artists will receive $250 and headliners compensation will be negotiated at booking./n/nSoul of the City 2011 in Grand Rapids, MI is a two day festival, September 2nd and 3rd. The festival is looking for adult contemporary, comedy, cover band, funk, gospel, hip hop, jam band, jazz, pop, soul, spoken word, or urban/r&b artists to perform and 1-2 acts to headline.



Selected artists receive:


  • Compensation of $250 (headliner compensation will be negotiated at time of booking)

  • 1 hour set time.

  • Some backline and all sound and stage assistance will be provided.

  • Drinks and food in a VIP tent.

  • Marketing and promotion of your joining the event, including social media, radio, tv, print, event posters, postcards, human marketing and press releases.

  • A special artist offer to a hotel that will offer rooms for $77/night. The hotel offers a hot tub, indoor water park, and restaurant.



Event attendees will enjoy the entertainment of local, regional and celebrity musicians that will perform and headline each day. They will also enjoy local cultural food vendors and connect to various community non-profits, shop local merchants and the children will have an activities area that features a bounce house. City of GR Police and private security will regulate the event and attendees.
