The Entertainment Business Seminar and Showcase

Broadcast Academy, Inc. presents “The Entertainment Business: What You Better Know” seminar and showcase on Saturday June 20th, 2009. The event will be held at Staten Island’s Snug Harbor Music Hall (capacity 680). Two slots have been reserved for Sonicbids members.



This seminar will cover various aspects of the entertainment business. They have a showcase setup where selected bands will perform. They do not have the ability to mic a full band and prefer if you can perform by accompaniment track or are a one person band.



Confirmed panelists include: Skip Dillard - Program Director: WBLS-FM; Jasmine - Midday Personality: WBLS-FM ; Breeze - Senior Program Director: VH-1; Big Ced – Founder: Industry Cosign; Lynne Forde - CEO & Author: Saffyre Ent. Reps from MusicXray, Loud Beverage, and Bear Hug Ent are also confirmed. There will be a Live MusicXray.com demonstration and analysis.



Most genres can apply. A maximum of 3 mics per artist are available, with no other back line. No compensation, travel, or lodging provided. There are no additional fees for selected artists.. This event will be video taped.



Panel topics include: Setting up your business and financing your project; understanding new technologies; getting exposure on Radio, TV, satellite and the snternet; online marketing & distribution
