Summary

The deadline is approaching to submit to the Soundscape Festival, now in its fourth year, attracts around 6,000 patrons each year. Located at the Domain Regatta Grounds in the centre of Tasmania's capital city, Hobart, 2011's lineup will feature Empire of the Sun, Roots Manuva, The Grates, Ugly Duckling, The Panics, Ash Grunwald, and many others. A minimum of 1 Sonicbids band will be given a performance slot at Soundscape 2011./n/nNow in its fourth year, The Soundscape Festival attracts around 6,000 patrons each year. Located at the Domain Regatta Grounds in the centre of Tasmania's capital city, Hobart, the 2011 event will feature 12-16 acts on two stages.


A minimum of 1 Sonicbids band will be given a performance slot at Soundscape 2011. For selected artists, transportation between airport, accommodation and the event is provided. Rider is provided at the event and other expenses (such as accommodation) can be negotiated.


Previous big acts include The Living End, (AUS) Grinspoon (AUS), Spoon (US), Krafty Kuts & Dynamite MC (UK), Katachafire (NZ) in 2008, PNAU (AU), Cut Copy (AU), British India (AU), Behind Crimson Eyes (AU) in 2009, Empire of the Sun (AU), Roots Manuva (UK), The Grates (AU), Ugly Duckling (US), The Panics (AU), Children Collide (AU), Grafton Primary (AU) in 2010.

Located at the northern end of the Hobart Regatta Grounds, the Main stage is perfectly positioned at the bottom of the gently sloping grassy parklands, providing every patron with an excellent vantage point. Keeping the live music action flowing seamlessly throughout the day, the Derwent Stage offers panaoramic river views.


Mainstage Events runs and is involved with running other events during the year, for which artists may also be considered.
