South County Balloon Festival

The 32nd annual South County Balloon Festival is Southern New England's largest Hot Air Balloon Festival, featuring up to 14 hot air balloonists or aeronauts over three days. The event expects to reel in close to 15,000 attendees, and selected acts will be compensated $200 plus the acts can keep 100% of any band merchandise sold (CDs, shirts, etc)./n/nThe 32nd annual South County Balloon Festival is Southern New England's largest Hot Air Balloon Festival, featuring up to 14 hot air balloonists or aeronauts over three days. Held at the University of Rhode Island Athletic Fields, the festival encourages artists from a wide variety of genres to submit. There are three spots available for Sonicbids members prior to the highly popular Balloon Glow on Saturday Afternoon and evening. Stage and sound is provided by festival, and bands are required to bring their own instruments and amps.

SCBF is the main fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Wakefield and they are proud to say that since the festival's beginning, the Rotary Club of Wakefield has raised over $1,000,000. Holding true to the Rotary motto "Service Above Self," 100% of the proceeds from this event are donated and used for charitable purposes.




Past performers have included John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band and the Flying Wallendas.
