Summary

The world’s highest music festival and industry conference takes place, every year, in the real South Park, Colorado. The South Park Music Tour (SPMT) presented 70 independent musicians and bands from North America on 8 showcase stages over 4 days. In 2008, The South Park Music Tour (SPMT) presented 70 independent musicians and bands from around the world on 10 showcase stages over 4 days. Performances included such artists as Larry W. Johnson (Songwriter: Don’t Take the Girl – Tim McGraw) and Hypernova, which is now touring U.S. with Sisters of Mercy. In addition to the great entertainment, SPMT featured a world class Music Industry Conference and the Songsalive Songcamp. Conference speakers included Sean Agnew (CEO & Founder, Blue Metallic Entertainment & ENN), Gilli Moon (Founder: Warrior Girl Music, President: Songsalive, Author: I AM A Professional Artist, and Just Get Out There), Anne Cecere (Associate Director of Film and Television, BMI), and more. Under the guidance of Gilli Moon, CR Parsons, and Larry W. Johnson (Songwriter: Don’t take the Girl – Tim McGraw), the Songsalive Songcamp provided the extremely unique opportunity for songwriters to create brand new music at SPMT, which was performed at one of SPMT’s showcases.

Last year's event attracted approximately 4,000 fans per day and over 30 juried arts, crafts, and food vendors. This year, McGoon Productions presents the 3rd Annual South Park Music Tour & Music Industry Conference - a totally unique music experience with over 70 artists performing. Music ranges in genre from Rock, Blues, Jazz, Indie, Emo, Country, Americana, Blue Grass, Funk, Hip-Hop, Metal, Alternative, Reggae and more. Performances take place across 10 Showcase Stages with 50+ Juried Arts, Crafts and Food Vendors, all attracting an average of 5,000+ music fans per day from the surrounding area and nationwide. This year's annual 4-day event (June 25-28, 2009) has reserved 15 slots for Sonicbids artists.

Selected artists will receive VIP Badges for FREE. The VIP Bandages provide the artists with access to the Music Industry Conference, access to festival opening night VIP Party, goody bags, discounted lodging, and more. Also, the South Park Music Tour staff will sell the artist's merchandise with 100% of the money going to the artist.

SPMT’s primary objective is to expose all independent musicians and bands to industry professionals, independent and name brand recording companies, that they may acquire a recording contract.

Please note: This opportunity is not affiliated with any other “South Park” events within Colorado or the surrounding areas.
