Summary

Spare Some Change is an ongoing media campaign and movement to raise awareness for homeless youth. The first project in the Spare Some Change Movement is a feature length documentary that leads us behind graffiti covered walls, down dark alleys and into the real lives of America’s homeless youth.

The film will be submitted to Sundance and other major film festivals to try and secure for-profit distribution. Although currently, the songs would be offered gratis, there is a "step deal", which would offer the artist royalties if the film starts making money. All selected tracks will receive credit in the film.

CMusic is looking for songs about redemption and hope, as well as songs about loneliness and struggle. The placeholders these songs would be replacing are:

  • Marvin Gaye: "What's Going On"

  • John Lennon: "Imagine"

  • Buffalo Springfield: "There's Something Happening Here"
