Summary
Split Open & Melt is an eclectic online streaming station featuring experimental psychedelic music from all genres. All artists who are played on Split Open & Melt Radio are eligible to be paid appropriate royalties through their Performing Rights Society.
Split Open & Melt Radio features the world's best experimental independent music. You can look forward to hearing rare Bob Dylan and other live rarities, including Grateful Dead and Phish shows in their entirety! We will spin classic albums front to back, and intersperse new independently produced music between it all.
Most of the new music you'll hear will be available for download or sale through our website. All proceeds go directly to the artists who created the work. One of our goals is to erase the distinguishing line between independent and "major label" music. The word "independent" has come to mean "not ready for primetime" to the major radio/video stations and retail chains. This is unfair and oppressive.
