Summary

The Spring Music Festival is a celebration of music showcasing some of the hottest 'buzz acts' from Canada and the US. It will take place May 3-5, 2007 at more than 10 live music venues in the cities of Hamilton and Burlington, Ontario. There are between 50 and 100 bands selected to perform at the festival, with at least three slots reserved for Sonicbids members. Selected artists will be compensated for their performances. All genres of music accepted with a focus on rock, heavy music/new metal and reggae/ska showcases. All bands are eligible to apply.

Your band can be chosen for a showcase spotlight, have a track added to the official Spring Music Festival soundtrack, or even be asked to speak on a panel. The CD will be distributed to more than 25 Canadian and American major and independent record labels. The CD will be limited to no more than 12 listed tracks. In addition, all festival applicants will be eligible to win a prize package featuring free recording time at Mastermind Studios.
