Summary
Squaw Valley opened in 1949 with one chair lift, a rope tow, and a lodge. Today, Squaw Valley is one of the world's premier ski resorts with year-round recreation and first-class accommodations. Located in Olympic Valley, Squaw Valley boasts uninterrupted views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra. One of Squaw Valley's most notable achievements, and a turning point in the development of California skiing, was Squaw Valley's hosting of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
Squaw Valley is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for performance consideration at one of their numerous venues. They are looking for all types of musical acts, both headliners and opening acts. All genres are accepted. Compensation is offered, but is negotiated at the time of booking.
Squaw Valley is no stranger to live music. In 1993 Squaw Valleys High Camp hosted The Grateful Dead. High Camp is located on the mountain top where guests must ride a 2,000 foot vertical cable car. Its main venue is a Pavilion which can host nearly 9,000 people. Squaw Valley also books musical performances in their Gold Coast Lodge which can hold 200 people.
