Summary

The St. Louis Earth Day Festival is the oldest and largest one day environmental celebration in the Midwest, drawing more than 15,000 visitors to Forest Park in St. Louis, MO. Now in its 20th year of operation, the festival continues to grow and improve each year. The festival will be held on April 20, 2009. The event features live music from local and national acts, hands-on recycled art activities, educational games and challenges, the Forest Park stream clean-up, sustainable shopping, a farmer’s market, and countless environmental stewardship opportunities to become involved in. The event is free and open to the public.

St. Louis Earth Day is a non-profit organization with a limited budget, and unfortunately compensation for performing artists is not offered. The average attendance for this popular festival is around 10,000 people each year. This opportunity offers submitting artists the chance to showcase their talent in front of thousands of fans, as well as playing for the good of the planet. 20 artists will play on one of 2 stages.

Past event sponsors have included Whole Foods, Burt’s Bees, Schlafly, Anheuser-Busch, US EPA, Schnucks and Toyota.
