Summary

Hello Sonicbids artists, we're gearing up to host a continuous open mic series in the Jazz, R&B, Spoken Word, and Storytelling in Pickerington, Ohio. We are eventually looking for a house band (jazz) to be the headliner of the event. We're looking for bands interested in the gig to come out to perform at our open mic and show us your skills of engagement and we will make a decision on the house band to hire after 4 weeks of performances in the open mic.

We're looking for awesome bands, Jazz, R&B, Spoken Word, and Storytellers to play our upcoming events. This is an ongoing opportunity to apply, and we'll find the best date for your band.

This is an amazing opportunity for Ohio artists. If you have an amazing sound and looking to gain a wider audience in Pickerington, this is the gig for you!

The Band

We're looking for a jazz band or a jazz band with a spoken word leader.  A band that can engage the crowd, play behind random artist performing, etc. Make the event a jazz house scene with their sound. We're also looking for Jazz, R&B, Spoken Word, and Storytellers. 

  • We have many dates available, If you're interested in playing, apply and we'll send you availabilities that we think fit your band!
  • Acts must promote shows
  • Acts must ha have a solid online presence
  • Acts must have live stage experience

The Gig

We're looking for acts to play Thursdays Night from 7 to 10 pm.  This event may move venues from month to month through the Central Ohio area.

  • Depending on bands, shows will be door deal or guarantees
  • PA provided
  • Basic backline provided 
  • Capacity 75+
  • Bands keep 100% of their merch
