The Opportunity
NO MEMBERSHIP OR FEE REQUIRED TO APPLY!!
Selected acts will be performing 3-4 songs (15 min sets) via Zoom (specifics TBD at selection), so you'll need to have a computer, a steady internet connection, and at least an onboard camera/mic. If you've got a home studio and want to upgrade your audio/video, we're all for that (but obviously can't help troubleshoot).
Given that this is a celebration of music AND responsible living in these times, please don't pull together groups in one place to perform. If you need to demo out some larger ensemble songs as a solo or duo, we understand and the crowd will 100% appreciate it.
We will make sure there is the opportunity to promote your band during your set (both verbally and on screen w/a title card at the bottom of the screen). We're asking for a $5 suggested to donation for fans -- all donations/tips will be split evenly between artists.
The Band
- Open to a wide range of genres, but only original music -- no covers!
- Should be solo artists/singer songwriters or already living together (we can't encourage bands to get together...that would be irresponsible)
- Need to have high speed internet, or at least internet that will not cut out mid performance (TEST THIS so we both don't get embarrassed)
- Need to be available to soundcheck in advance of the show and work out any tech issues
- We want bands that will treat this like a stage performance (i.e. rehearse ahead of time, have a full set mapped out)
The Gig
- 3-4 songs (15 mins) exact set times & lineup TBD upon selecting artists. The show kicks off at 7pm and ends around 10pm, as lineup/performance time is always subject to play you must be available to perform anytime within that range.
- Due to the nature of streaming/virtual shows you'll need to be ready to play at least 30 mins early/late than your given performance slot
- We're looking to showcase 10 bands per "show" though we plan to build a ongoing series if people want more
- Opportunity to receive tips via virtual tip jar promoted to our audience
