Summerfest 2009

Besides being the world's largest music festival, Summerfest is the ultimate festival experience that ignites on more than 75 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This annual 11-day music blowout features 11 stages offering over 700 bands all day and night in front of nearly 1 million fans.

Summerfest will fill 60 slots with Sonicbids artists. 5 of those slots are reserved for artists who submit before January 31, 2009. All selected artists will be compensated for their performances.

The festival celebrates diversity in music and features hundreds of local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from alternative, country, R&B and reggae to blues, zydeco, rock n' roll, pop, Latin and more.

Already confirmed for this year: Bon Jovi, No Doubt, Kenny Chesney and George Straight.

Last year's performers include Stevie Wonder, Rush, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, John Mayer, Tim McGraw, Stone Temple Pilots, Alicia Keys, Jonas Brothers, John Mellencamp, Steve Miller Band, Rascal Flats, Taylor Swift, The Roots, Lucinda Williams, 311, Earth Wind & Fire, Cheap Trick, Less Than Jake, Mountain, Gavin DeGraw, Drive-By Truckers, Alejandro Escovedo, The Wailers, The Crystal Method, O.A.R., Alkaline Trio and so much more

This year's Summerfest, which will be held June 25 through July 5, will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, shopping and children's activities.
