The festival will feature well-known, little-known, and unknown bands in front of up to 10,000 people this upcoming August. At least one performance slot has been reserved for Sonicbids bands.

SunStock was voted Best New Outdoor Festival by the Denver Westword in 2006. Riding the success of the award-winning event that was held in 2006, gruckee.com organized SunStock 2007 – The Second Annual Unknownfest. It was held at Clement Park in Littleton, CO. in August 2007, helping gruckee.com once again fulfill its mission of furthering the general population's understanding and enjoyment of musical arts by promoting an affordable and readily accessible event. The Second Annual event was just as successful as the first, and then some. Great momentum had built up and advertising and marketing for the Second Annual event stated that “you don’t want to miss the second annual of what is fast becoming the premier summer festival in Colorado. And it’s Free!”

Thanks to the success of the first two festivals, SunStock started to develop brand name recognition in the community and in the media, and moved to Skyline Park in the heart of downtown Denver where a record number of people attended SunStock 2008- The Third Annual “Unknownfest” as the event continued to expand its offerings and grow in popularity. Once again, as beautiful a setting as Clement Park in Littleton is, moving the event into downtown Denver provided additional exposure for continuing expansion and will support the success and future growth of the event.

Partners include 9News (a leader in the community for years that boasts one million hits a day on its web site) and Metromix Denver.

The two basic SunStock guidelines:

  • Leave nothing but footprints

  • Hug a stranger and tell 'em you love 'em
