Swallow Hill Music Association is currently looking for artists interested in performing at their Harvest Festival October 11 & 12, 2008. The event will be held in Denver, Colorado, and accepted genres include folk, acoustic, singer/songwriter, bluegrass, blues, and Americana. The festival is a fundraiser for Swallow Hill Music Association; artists perform for free but Swallow Hill can sell their merchandise for them.

The festival is dedicated to showcasing local/regional talent in the above genres. There will also be workshops and master classes, which will give artists the chance to share their particular skill/expertise with the audience. Travel and lodging are not provided. Prominent past performers include Ruthie Foster, Corinne West, Chuck Pyle, Guy Clark, John William Davis, Southern Exposure, Misty River, The Badly Bent, and Sons and Brothers.

Founded in March of 1979, in Denver, Swallow Hill Music Association began as an outgrowth of the Denver Folklore Center, a music store providing lessons and performances. This nonprofit organization seeks to make the live enjoyment of folk music a vital part of cultural life in Denver and the surrounding areas while also serving as a regional resource for the preservation and enjoyment of this music. From these humble beginnings, Swallow Hill has grown to become the second largest roots, folk and acoustic music school and concert organization in the United States.
