Swan Day CT 2011

Swan Day CT, an all women one day festival featuring New England's best female talent, is currently accepting submissions for the 4th annual Swan Day. Swan Day CT has been doubling in size each year and has given participants great media exposure, some extra cash, and a way to connect with the community. There are 7-10 spots for female fronted bands and a few spots for solo performers. Swan Day will occur on March 26th, 2011 in a venue to be announced. There is no monetary compensation for artists, however bands will be given a lot of media exposure. Artists and bands are also encouraged to sell their artwork and merchandise. Past sponsors include Independisc Radio, Sling Slang Records, WESU 88.1 FM, WPKN 89.5 FM, David Apuzzo Photography, Aliehn Studios, Jungle Tone Studios, CT Recording Studio, Black Diamond Body Piercing,Hells Bells Productions, Visual Expressions Tattoo, 411 underground 97.7 Berkshires and Audio Media Solutions.



Swan Day CT is the only show of its kind in the state. The festival is part of an international holiday started by WomenArts, a non-profit organization dedicated to exposing the talents of female artists around the world. Last year, over 600 events took place.
