Summary

Tall City Blues Fest 2012 is an indoor/outdoor Festival and will be held in downtown Midland, TX in Centennial Plaza on July 26-29, 2012 with the majority of the music on the 27th and 28th.

Featuring over 25 Unique Performances on 4 Stages:


  • 2 Outdoor Main Stages

  • Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Plaza Stage

  • Acoustic Jam Stage (Indoor)

  • FREE Community Street Dance Featuring Zydeco Music

  • FREE Gospel Brunch & Blues Jam




Tall City Blues Fest is looking to book blues support acts, both acoustic and full band, and reserves the right to give preference to artists who can and are willing to conduct an educational workshop or clinic to festival goers. At least 2 slots are reserved for acoustic acts and at least 2 slots are reserved for bands who submit through Sonicbids

Compensation for selected artists will be as follows:


  • Acoustic acts: offer will be between $100-250

  • Bands: offer will be between $250-500

  • All artists will be provided with a merch booth and retain 100% of CD sales and 90% of soft merch sales




Lodging will be offered to those performing at the festival. Travel is the responsibility of the artist.

Past performers include: James "Boogaloo" Bolden (B.B. King's band leader),Eddie Turner, Smokin' Joe Kubek, Bnois King, Woody Russell, Bernie Pearl, James Hinkle, John Lisi & The Delta Funk, e-Flat Porch Band, Diddly Squat, Jeff Strahan, and more!

Tall City Blues Fest aims to be a culturally enriching, community-centric music festival that presents a family-friendly atmosphere. Our mission is to host a multi-day music festival that offers a culturally diverse event in our West Texas community, contributes positively to our quality of life, creates tourism and presents new musically educational opportunities, while also supporting existing educational endeavors.
