Bands from Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana can submit for consideration to perform on the Taste Stage, which showcases the best of both up and coming and well-known bands from the area./n/nThis is your chance to play the Taste Stage at the Taste of Chicago, an event which attracts more than 3.5 million visitors annually.



The Taste of Chicago runs in early July 2010 (exact dates to be determined at a later date) and takes place in Grant Park, along the lakefront in downtown Chicago. The event is a food and music festival, featuring over 60 local restaurants, cooking demonstrations, a sports area, a family area, music stages, a Race to Taste and more.



The Mayor's Office of Special Events is now accepting EPK submissions from bands in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area ONLY, for consideration to perform on the Taste Stage, a stage that showcases the best of both up and coming and well-known favorite bands from the Chicagoland area. The number of performance slots to be filled will be determined at a later date. Selected artists will be compensated.



All musical styles will be considered. No profanity, descriptions of violence or vulgarity will be accepted. All music must be family-friendly.



Past performers include: Kid, You'll Move Mountains; Scotland Yard Gospel Choir; Chicago Afrobeat Project; El Payo Nuevo Flamenco; The Waco Brothers; 8 Bold Souls and Shekinah Glory Ministry.



Please note: If you are not from the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area, you are not eligible and should NOT submit, as you will not be considered.
