Tech Gives Back: Charity Concert @ Wang Theatre Boston

Tech Gives Back is charity event and concert presented by Atlas Venture on June 9th, 2011. That day, over 600 people from 40 tech companies based in the Boston area will be participating in projects such as teaching in inner city schools, serving food in food kitchens, cleaning up parks/beaches, building community centers, and more. That evening, there will be a large event and concert at the Wang Theatre featuring live music from 6-9pm. Bands selected to perform during the event will compensated with a negotiable performance fee./n/nTech Gives Back is charity event and concert presented by TUGG on June 9th, 2011. That day, over 600 people from 40 tech companies based in the Boston area will be participating in projects such as teaching in inner city schools, serving food in food kitchens, cleaning up parks/beaches, building community centers, and more. That evening, there will be a large event and concert at the Wang Theatre featuring live music from 6-9pm. They are looking for one local band to perform during the event. There is a budget of about $1000 available to compensate the band. Specifically, they are looking for an young emerging rock band based in the Boston area.

Avion Tequila and Sam Adams are donating sponsors. At the event, monetary grants will be awarded to several new social innovation start-ups via democratic voting system. Mayor Menino and Governor Patrick plan to be in attendance at the party.
