Summary
Conceived in 2004 by music-loving Teller Elementary School parents, the event has grown into this east Denver elementary school's biggest fundraiser. As a public elementary school, funds are slim, and they put on this great event to provide enough money to hire teachers, assistants, and other staff to keep class sizes sane. Bands volunteer their time, but they will provide tax receipts as well as an extensive social media campaign to get the word out./n/nConceived in 2004 by music-loving Teller Elementary School parents, the event has grown into this east Denver elementary school's biggest fundraiser. As a public elementary school, funds are slim, and they put on this great event to provide enough money to hire teachers, assistants, and other staff to keep class sizes sane. Bands volunteer their time, but they will provide tax receipts as well as an extensive social media campaign to get the word out. Their reach grows every year, making Tellerpalooza one of the signature gigs to kick off the summer season.
Usually around the second weekend in May, 700 parents, friends, and kids pass through the event throughout the night, making this the biggest event of the year at the Mercury Cafe, in Denver, Colorado. If you've never played the Merc, you're missing out on something unique. Not the tired stereotypical bake sale fundraiser, this gig is for parents and kids to hang out together and enjoy great music together for as long as the kids can stay awake. After that, the parents continue on into the night showing that Teller parents can still jam through the night.

Supported by The Mercury Cafe, New Belgium Brewing, Wyncoop Brewing, O'Dells Brewing, and others, Teller PTA put together a show that is remembered throughout the year.
