The Great Audition 2011

The Great Audition 2011 is a chance for musicians to audition for a record contract with KG Records LLC in Chicago, as well as to have their music professionally recorded and distributed, and much more. Artists of all styles of music are encouraged to submit their original or cover songs. There are 200 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. Prizes

• Top 5 – Guaranteed record deals, much larger royalties and the best shot
  at making it big


• Top 10 – Three mastered singles, larger royalties, free hotel and
  airfare to downtown Chicago for the New Years Eve final announcement


• Top 50 – Two mastered singles with the distribution by us and royalty
  rights, large exposure and a greater chance of landing a record deal


• Top 200 – A professionally mastered single and distribution to online
  retailers with rights to future royalties, eligibility for a record
  deal


• Top 500 – A bonus, potentially thousands of dollars, based on how much
  traffic generated

Scoring will be based on a combination of channel views, likes, dislikes, and the amount of time elapsed from video listing to the current date running up to the end of Round 1.

The Scheduled Rounds

• Round 1 – The general audition round that will run from January 20th, 2011 to June 1st, 2011.
• Round 2 – The round subsequent to Round 1 involving the top 200 finishers from Round 1 that will run from June 8th, 2011 to August 3rd, 2011.
• Round 3 – The round subsequent to Round 2 involving the top 50 finishers from Round 2 that will run from August 10th, 2011 to October 5th, 2011.
• Round 4 – The round subsequent to Round 3 involving the top 10 finishers from Round 3 that will run from October 12th, 2011 to December 31st, 2011.
