With a fully equipped stage, lighting, sound system and a backline available for the traveling musician, they are a perfect stop on your northern Canadian tour. Five Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to be selected.

They are seeking musical artists who perform original music, and can play two to three sets of material in their 80 person capacity coffee house. Preference will be given to folk, blues, bluegrass, Celtic, country, indie and classical genres, but are open to other genres such as spoken word, and quieter rock. Ideally those who submit apply have CDs and other merchandise to sell, and are planning a tour across Ontario. The Atikokan Arts Centre is geared towards a captive listening audience that appreciates songwriters and performers as an art form.

Artists will be compensated 75% of the door, and touring artists will also be offered lodging. The Art Centre is a non-alcoholic venue and is a distinct listening room for many acoustic and non-acoustic acts. Past performers include Juno award winning musicians such as Ken Hamm, Americana artists Doug Gorrie, Winnipeg songstress Sheen Grobb, Blues singer Sunday Wilde, and many others. They are also seeking a possible artist in residence for monthly residencies.
