The Comet Tavern - Seattle, WA

Located on Capitol Hill in Seattle, WA, The Comet is the place to be for live, unadulterated rock n’ roll. Voted one of the top 10 dive bars by Maxim Magazine, The Comet lives up to its name by booking some of the best post punk, power pop, psychedelic, indie folk, alt-country, new wave and other forms of indie rock in the Seattle area. The Comet is not looking for mainstream music, straight ahead rock, jam bands or funk.



Local bands are booked with draw as a factor. This isn’t a ‘first show’ venue, so only artists that have a following should submit. Regional and touring acts are welcome for all shows Thursday through Saturday. Compensation is negotiable and varies amongst artists based on draw, experience, etc. There is no backline available, but there is a full sound system.



Bands that have played the club include: The High Dials, The Gris Gris, Old Haunts, Black Angels, The Divorce, Blood Meridian, BBQ, Demon's Claws, Tall Birds, The Intelligence, The Trucks, The Turn On’s, The Lights, Cancer Rising and Wormwood just to name a few.
