Reviews of the Crossroads:

  • "Almost every Tuesday night ... I have been going to a restaurant/club in Garwood called The Crossroads. Tuesday nights are always jazz." "The Crossroads' basic concept [is to] serve high quality food that's well prepared, offer a hugh selection of good beer and martinis, while providing first rate entertainment of all musical tastes." "We've come to know Ronnie, the owner's mom, who is the best server this side of the Hudson..." "However [this article] does not let you hear what was played [musically]. Trust me, it is absolutely incredible!" "There's no cover charge, no minumum. If you like great food and live music, you need to spend a Tuesday night in Garwood." -Ken Secor, The News Record / Patriot, 6-2-05

  • "Jazz, blues, folk and rock meet at the Crossroads, a Garwood hot spot that serves Creole food and myriad musical choices. Tuesday [is] the most happening night of the week, with a jazz jam that has drawn surprise appearances from Stanley Jordan, Cornell Dupree and Connie Francis."
    -Lisa Rose The Star-Ledger 9-07-01

  • "Each evening, local jazz and rock talent entertains a cozy and fun crowd. It gets packed. Make your reservation for a front row seat so that you can dine on the delightful Cajun cuisine. Things don't really get started at the Crossroads until after nine. Before you know, it's well past midnight. Dress down, loosen up and try it - Where The Night Crowd Gathers."
