The Effect 2012

Theeffect is a non profit organization in San Juan Capistrano, California that began its community deeply committed to recovery issues, working with people suffering from alcohol and drug addictions while bringing a spiritually-centered approach to their recovery programs. They are looking to fill a 3000 seat venue in the Spring of 2012 in So. California . They are looking for artists to play at the event that will be held in March/April of 2012.All genres are accepted except for metal, country and hip-hop. They are looking for artists to play at the event that will be held in March/April of 2012. If an artists has their own story of recovery, they could add amazing value, but it is not necessary as long as there is a passion towards human transformation and redemption. All genres are accepted except for metal, country and hip-hop. There will be limited budget for bands, but compensation and travel stipend will be offered. Press coverage and promo for the band(s) is negotiable.

Adding elements of worship, spiritual mentoring, interventions, pastoral counseling, 12 Step programming, and a recovery helpline among others, theeffect works with individuals and those in local treatment centers and other facilities to bring the non-religious message and hope of Jesus to those suffering from addiction and to their families. Their counseling center and day treatment programs along with specific AA, NA, OA, ACA, Al-Anon meetings and other gatherings and programs geared for the recovery community are offered every day through pastors and clinicians certified in drug and alcohol specialties and psychotherapy. They have historically used a banquet format for fundraising and want to expand our scope and reach.

Please note: This will be a "dry" event that is geared towards the recovering community so respect for the no drink/drugs policy is a must
