The Elbow Room - Detroit, MI

The Elbow Room is one of the Detroit area’s number one places for live, indie rock. The Elbow Room is renown for harvesting some of the most exciting and purely exhilarating acts within the indie scene. The Elbow Room is for artists and fans that are 21 and over.



There is no built in crowd at the 135 person capacity venue, so artists are selected based on draw. Compensation is always a split of 100% of the door amongst all the performing artists. If artists are touring nationally, make sure the street team does a good job so that other bands on the bill aren’t splitting payment with a band that didn’t produce. A professional soundman and PA system is provided for all artists along with a huge stage. The Elbow Room also provides as much promotion as they can, and each band is given 2 pitchers of beer.



Load in time is at 9 pm the night of the show. Artists must bring at least 10 people in order to be considered for future booking for all new acts. Each artist that is asked to come back can expect regular rotation to be 6 – 8 weeks so that draw is not effected.
