Summary
The GO! Music Festival returns to Kitchener-Waterloo for it's 3rd year. Along with a few new venues, the dates of the festival have changed to April 17 & 18, 2009 to capitalize on more predictable weather. Selected artists will be compensated $100 for performing. The format remains the same: two nights of live music spread across 6 downtown venues all within walking distance of each other. Kitchener-Waterloo is home to 2 universities, 1 college and a thriving live music scene.
. The Festival has 40 performance slots; at least 5 Sonicbids members will be chosen to perform. GO! embraces a range of musical genres including: rock, pop, country, singer/songwriter, folk, bluegrass, hip-hop, blues and morePast artists include: Grady, Apostle of Hustle, the Trews, Run With the Kittens, The John Henrys, Hotkid, You & Me, Plajia, and Saigon Hookers.
This year's sponsors include The City of Kitchener, The Kitchener Downtown Business Association and Kool FM Radio.
