PLAY: The InterUrban ArtHouse (KS) Fall/Winter

The InterUrban ArtHouse is a new, large arts center in Downtown Overland Park, with 2000 sq ft of artist studios, Gallery space, and indoor and outdoor performance areas. Every third Friday, the ArtHouse has gallery openings/events, and we seek to work with musicians and performers of all sorts throughout the fall/winter. We're looking for all types of music: Cuban, alternative, spoken word, jazz, hip hop, classical, Tibetan throat singing. Show us what you got! We will also be having smaller events in between and we'll need musicians for a more intimate setting in the gallery space. 

Third Fridays are Downtown Overland Park's version of the First Friday events in the Kansas City, Mo Crossroads District. Businessed stay open late and hundreds of people come out for shopping, visual arts, and live music. The InterUrban ArtHouse is an arts and entertainment hub for the area, and looks to hire artists for their time and talent.  We also promote all artists on our social media networks, and pass on artist info to other local organizations.

We're looking for many different types of music from Folk, Pop, Jazz, R&B, Alternative, World Music to most genres in between. We are especially looking to increase exposure to diversity, so music from every culture is very much welcome. We're very interested in multi-cultural and World Music genres!

Bands must be actively playing shows 

Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

Bands are able to sell merch on-site

All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase

Acts must have a solid online presence
