Summary

The Irving Theater was built in 1913 as a movie theater and has lived most of its life as such. It re-opened for business as a multi-use arts facility on June 3rd, 2006. The main hall is a 5,000 square foot room that holds up to 700 people with a 14'x30' backstage/green room. We have a reconfigurable stage, currently set at 24' wide by 12' deep. Our stage may very well be the last stage Elvis ever played on, as it is 6 of the 18 pieces from the old Market Square Arena in downtown Indianapolis.

We have a full sound system featuring an Allen & Heath GL2000 32ch desk with 24 sends from the stage, EV mains and monitors, Crown and QSC power, and Shure mics. Our lighting rig is a simple beast, 16 600w PAR46 fixtures. 60 amps of power available on stage.

Our venue is an alcohol-free, smoke-free facility. Alcohol is permitted ONLY in the green room, smoking is permitted outside the building by city statute. Due to our location in a historic neighborhood and our proximity to homes, we prefer to have shows wrapped up by 11:00PM - 12:00AM.

We prefer to book at least one month out. We're very flexible on booking and all artists will receive compensation. As long as everybody comes out ahead, we're happy. Independent promoters may rent the hall for a negotiable rate. We can help assemble a lineup drawing upon local acts if necessary.

Most genres accepted except rap, hardcore, metal, hip-hop, etc. We're leaning toward Indie/alt rock, but we'll give almost anything a shot.
