Summary

The Kent Stage is the host of approximately 4-5 concerts a week and specifically highlights local talent. The Kent Stage has also hosted the Kent Folk Festival, the Kent Blues Fest, The Kent Reggae Fest, the Kent State Around Town Music Festival, film festivals and numerous plays.

The Legendary Kent stage is specifically looking for Sonicbids artists to join the roster. If you have an eclectic sound, extensive live stage experience and have a large following in Kent, Ohio, then apply now!

The Opportunity

The Kent Stage was constructed in 1927 as a silent movie and vaudevillian theater and is the sole surviving downtown theater in the Ohio county.  This is a huge opportunity to play at Kent's most prestigious music venue. Even if you're a local or regional band that can be a good support to bigger acts, this gig is for you. we're looking for all type of acts to play the legendary Kent Stage who can bring their following and create successful shows. 

This is an amazing opportunity to get active in a super progressive music scene and building a fan base and relationships with one of the best venues in town.

The Band

  • This is an amazing opportunity for local and nationally touring artists. We're looking for bands of all genres that play original music. We love Rock, Indie, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Folk, Acoustic, Country, Blues and Soul acts
  • Bands must be actively playing shows 
  • Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play
  • All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase
  • Acts must have a solid online presence 

The Gig

  • Acts have access to the green room and backstage area
  • Pay is determined upon booking
  • PA provided
  • Basic backline provided 
  • Local bands must be able to draw  +150
  • Headlining bands must draw +250
  • Cap 642
  • Bands are able to sell merch on-site
