Summary

Creative Entertainment Group is currently looking for artists to support each of the two nights of The New Mastersounds who will headline at Sullivan Hall Nov. 7 and Nov. 8, 2008. Each selected artist must provide the Hammond B3 and a Leslie for the show. CEG will select one artist to support each show. Compensation will be provided, but will be disclosed at time of booking.

Led by guitarist and producer Eddie Roberts, The New Mastersounds feature Joe Tatton on Hammond, Pete Shand on bass and Simon Allen on drums. Though the NMS sound is very much their own, there are strong influences from the late-sixties soul-jazz of artists such as Jimmy McGriff, Lonnie Smith and Grant Green, as well as New Orleans funk pioneers the Meters. In 2004 the band had the honor of backing Blue-Note sax legend Lou Donaldson for his UK tour.
Their vintage-sounding 7" single releases have made them very popular with funk DJs and record collectors around the world and the live shows have a freshness and energy that sets dance-floors on fire.

Sullivan Hall is a 345 capacity music and event venue located in Greenwich Village in downtown Manhattan near the New York University community. We are big music fans who frequent shows and are friends with many musicians and artist representatives. We listened to what they had to say about the type of venue they’d like to see in New York City. We created an ideal venue for both performers and fans alike. We put a state of the art sound and lighting system, and the space has near perfect sight lines. Even on a sold out show, you will have an intimate experience with your favorite performers at Sullivan Hall. To submit to Sullivan Hall's general gig listing, click here.
