TNHC showcases songs that may not always be "cutting edge" according to current music trends, but rather, may stand the "test of time" for years to come. Artists are encouraged to submit entries with themes of love, honor, commitment and hope for the future that might be appropriate for a wedding ceremony, reception, party or dance. Selected songs will compete with other songwriters for a First Place award of $300 as well as the opportunity to be presented to major label recording artists for inclusion on their future projects.

During each of the three consecutive semi-final weeks beginning May 29, 2011, online voters will determine which songs will advance to the final. The final will then be held the week of June 19, 2011 and 10 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to be a part of the final round.. The Winner of The Next Wedding Classic 2010 will be announced June 29, 2011.
