The Oakland Metro is based by Jack London Square, in the heart of downtown Oakland, California. With a capacity of 400, the Metro is a perfect venue for intimately-sized events in all genres.

The Oakland Metro is primarily seeking artists from the following genres, but is open to submissions from outside of these categories: Hip Hop, Punk, Soul, Comedy, R&B, Metal, Thrash, Funk, Indie and Hardcore. Shows are booked approximately two months ahead of time and the set length for each band varies depending on the show. Artists are compensated either based on their ability to draw or with a guarantee, and all show details will be worked out at the time of booking. The Metro has no built-in crowd, so bands must be able to draw at least 50-60 people to their show.
