Summary

The Orion Independent Music Festival provides an international stage for independent recording artists and songwriters. Artists will gain exposure and network with professionals from across the industry. Normal $275 fee will be waived for Sonicbids artists and receive 80% of door receipts./n/nThe Orion Independent Music Festival was established to provide an international stage for independent recording artists and songwriters. It is a venue wherein singer/songwriters and bands can receive exposure to music industry executives/A&R representatives from around the world. Artists will also have the opportunity to network among their peers, with professional marketing, public relations, publicity, internet music marketing, and promotion companies.



All artists will receive 80% of the door for their performance period (venue revenues received during the artist's 60-90 minute set). Artists will make 100% of their own merchandise/CDs sold on the night of their performance. Artists selected through Sonicbids will have the normal $275 registration fee waived.



Music videos from each participating recording artist will be featured on a daily rotation at a local theater and receive airplay on local TV. Hess Travel, the official travel sponsor, and participating venues/restaurants/partners will be offering discounted hotel rates, food, skiing and more.



The Orion Independent Music Festival will take place in various clubs and performance venues in Park City and extending into Salt Lake City from Thursday, January 14th-Wednesday, January 20th, 2010. 200 recording artists, specifically singer/songwriters from 12 different genres including: Singer/Songwriter, Rock, Reggae, Jazz, Lounge/standards, Country, Blues, Funk, Acoustic, Christian, Latin, Hip Hop, and World.
