The Pussycat Lounge - Manhattan, NY

The Pussycat Lounge, one of New York City's premier venues, is actively seeking musicians and performance artists for immediate openings 5 nights a week. We are a fairly large venue, with a capacity of up to 200 people. A local draw is not necessary to be booked, only to get paid.



The Pussycat Lounge will book as far as 3 months in advance. We generally schedule 3-4 acts per night, with each act playing about an hour set. The backline includes the following:

• (2) Marshall 4x12 guitar cabinets (8 ohm)
  
• (1) Hartke 4x10 bass cabinet (8 ohm)
  
• (4) Behringer Ultra-DI 100 active direct boxes
  
• (3) Shure SM58 vocal mics
  
• (2) Shure SM48 vocal mics
  
• (1) Yamaha 100W head (suitable for bass, keyboard, or guitar w/distortion pedal)
  
• Drum Kit: (1) bass drum , (2) rack toms, (1) floor tom
  (2) overhead stands, (1) hi-hat stand, (1) snare stand
  Several kick drum pedals, (1) drum stool
  
• (2) Technics 1200s (needles required)
  
• (1) Denon CDJ unit
  
• (1) Numark mixer
  

Cymbals, Snare and Clutches are required. Hardware and Drum Stool are alsorecommended. Bands should not bring full drum kits or guitar cabinets; only bring amplifier heads or combo amps. We accept ALL genres, but tend to book rock, acoustic, and singer songwriters more often than not.



Compensation is available to those with a local draw in the form of a percentage of the door.
